Stripper Saver and Picker Saver by AgTronics Fire Protection
The genesis of the Stripper Saver fire suppression product is rooted in necessity and born from firsthand experience. Conceived by Jon Pigg, a seasoned third-generation cotton producer and custom harvester hailing from Quitaque, Texas, in the heart of Briscoe County’s Texas Panhandle region, the Stripper Saver was a solution born out of need.
Jon’s journey with the Stripper Saver began when he invested in a John Deere CS690 Cotton Stripper Round Bale Harvester in 2015. Upon its arrival, Jon immediately recognized a critical vulnerability: its susceptibility to fire, a concern shared with its predecessors, the cotton stripper basket machines.
While the John Deere CS690 Cotton Stripper represented a significant technological leap forward and promised to revolutionize harvesting practices, Jon couldn’t overlook a stark reality. Despite its efficiency gains over traditional basket machines, he observed a notable discrepancy in the time required to unload cotton from the new model.
Driven by a deep-seated desire to safeguard his investment and protect valuable harvesting machinery from the devastating impact of fire, Jon embarked on a mission to develop a robust, yet simple fire suppression solution. Inspired by his firsthand experiences and fueled by a relentless determination, Jon set out to engineer a system tailored to the unique needs of cotton producers like himself.
Thus, the Stripper Saver was conceived—a farmer-designed, farmer-tested solution meticulously crafted to address the pressing need for enhanced fire protection in the agricultural sector. From its humble beginnings in the cotton fields of Texas to its widespread adoption across all of the cotton belt farming communities and in Mexico and Australia, the Stripper Saver product stands as a testament to the power of innovation fueled by necessity and driven by a commitment to excellence.
